Refurbishment work starts today at Huddersfield Town Hall and also Batley Town Hall

We are delighted to announce that refurbishment work at Huddersfield Town Hall and Batley Town Hall has commenced today.

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN HALL
This summer Huddersfield Town Hall has £1m allocated to the refurbishment of meeting rooms 1, 2 and 3 plus the corridors outside these areas. Other areas of redecoration include the staircase and the corridor leading to the Council Chamber and Reception Room.

Also the ornate ceilings in the main concert hall will undergo detailed inspections before further phases of refurbishment go ahead.

From late September 2009 the meeting rooms will be offering 21st Century comfort, style and technology in beautiful Victorian surroundings.

BATLEY TOWN HALL
The scaffolding is will start to go up later this week at Batley Town Hall before a full external refurbishment of the building this summer and autumn.
